RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
(Laboratory) or University undergraduate or graduate degree in Science (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology) is required.
Previous experience in schools desirable but not essential.
Two-three years qualified experience in a laboratory context is desirable.
B2 English level or equivalent and willingness to learn is desirable.
Methodical.
Team worker.
Accurate record keeping skills.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE IN ENGLISH

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To help manage the department's equipment and technology as effectively as possible.

To organize and control the stock of materials including the organization and storing of chemicals and equipment; and stocktaking of apparatus and chemicals.

To maintain an orderly working environment.

To help control and plan the development of resources in the curriculum area.

To carry out daily procedures in line with school policy.

To provide records, information, reports as required by school policy and procedures.

To comply with and enforce safety protocols in the schools laboratories, storage facilities and prep-rooms including:

- disposal of waste material
- undertaking and managing risk assessments/health and safety issues;
- Preparation of all materials for practicals including:

- trialing and developing experiments;
- making of solutions;
- assembling apparatus;
- preparation of bacteriological plates, slopes and cultures.
- delivery to labs, possible assistance with demonstrations and subsequent cleaning of equipment
(and the safe use of cleaning materials).

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Education and Skills: Relevant professional training (Laboratory) or University undergraduate or graduate degree in Science (Pharmacy, Chemistry,Biology) is required.
Previous experience in schools desirable but not essential.

Two-three years qualified experience in a laboratory context is desirable.
