Requirements and knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in sales, commercial planning and obtaining excellent results.
- Experience in national or international sales
- Previous experience as Department/Area Manager in retail sales, leading teams is valuable.
- High level of spoken and written English.
- Extensive knowledge of sales techniques and mechanisms, as well as the market (customers, competition, new products).
- Good knowledge of project and change management methods and tools.
- Extensive knowledge of strategic plans and target achievement, as well as KPI tracking.
- Extensive knowledge of the local market, customer expectations today and tomorrow to ensure that commercial and service offerings meet their demands and needs.
- Extensive knowledge of sales activation opportunities and the use of the commercial calendar.
- Extensive knowledge of how to identify and take advantage of up-selling, cross-selling and cross-selling opportunities to meet customer needs.
**What you'll be doing day to day**
Drive the long term growth of the business by developing the commercial strategy, sales techniques and activities across all channels.
Direct the range, sizing and pricing levels of the Home Furnishing Business (sections within IKEA) to ensure it meets customer needs and demand.
Set Pricing strategy, contribute to the service offering and propose commercial activities.
Responsible for sales planning and forecasting for defined HFBs (commercial areas) reacting to deviations to ensure targets are met.
Support stores across the market to develop their sales competence and find new business opportunities.
Actively cooperate with the entire organization within the commercial department and beyond to ensure integration, common focus and maximize impact.
Influence Range & Supply to provide relevant information for the local market.
Drive an open and sharing climate, be a role model for IKEA values and contribute to IKEA's transformation.
Actively participate in sustainability initiatives within sales, ensuring sustainability priorities are reflected throughout the offering.
