**Conditions of Employment**:

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- Two-year trial or probationary period may be required.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.
- Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.

**Qualifications**:
**This is a Full-Time Mixed Teacher (Secondary English/Social Studies/Health/Physical Education) at Rota Middle High School. This recruitment is for SY 23/24. This position is full-time seasonal (80 hours per pay period).**

**Minimum Education Requirement**:

- A major in English or a minimum of 30 semester hours in English. A maximum of 5 semester hours in speech and/or journalism may be counted toward meeting this requirement. Course work must include English literature, American literature, the teaching of composition (writing process), and a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper-level English courses.
- AND- AND
- A major in health or a minimum of 30 semester hours in specific health related course work is required. Course work must include a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper-level health courses.
- AND
- A major in physical education or a minimum of 30 semester hours in physical education is required. Course work must include a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper-level physical education courses.**Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement**:Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards as a Teacher, English (category 0310), Teacher, Social Studies (category 0320), Teacher, Health (category 0334), and Teacher, Physical Education (category 0355).-
**School year full-time seasonal work schedules include periods in a non-pay/non-duty status during the holiday, spring and summer recess periods, meaning no pay is received during these periods. Full-time employees are entitled holiday pay when the holiday falls on a day otherwise required to work or take leave.**
