We are a specialist provider of rural and remote services.

We have offices in 10 locations (Armidale, Glen Innes, Goondiwindi, Gunnedah, Inverell, Ipswich, Moree,

Narrabri, Tamworth and Walcha) and provide services and outreach to small towns and communities across

19 Local Government Areas.

**Position Description**

The Communications Project Officer is a member of the Communications Team and contributes
to the team’s overall objectives of (a) Helping individuals and communities build their skills and
confidence to make decisions concerning their health and wellness, (b) Advocating for better
health and wellbeing for rural and remote communities (c) Being recognised as the pre-eminent
provider of choice for users and referrers.

The team objectives are met through the delivery of high quality, innovative internal and external
communications and marketing activities.

The Communications Project Officer is the link between the Communications Team and other
HealthWISE teams. The ability to manage competing priorities, adhere to policy and procedure,
have an eye for detail, develop logical responses to problems, and the ability to clearly
communicate requirements will allow the Communications team to meet the needs of internal
and external clients.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

This ‘gatekeeper’ role will oversee all requests to the Communications Team and ensure requests
include complete information before they are distributed within the team for action. In addition, this
role will assist Communications team members to deliver task requirements, for our clients.

The execution of this role will require daily communication with HealthWISE Executive, Team Leaders
and Team members delivering programs and services across the HealthWISE footprint.
