The role will have specific responsibility for the pricing strategy of the European payments business. This role will combine the objective of ensuring pricing is supportive with segmental go to market objectives whilst seeking to maximize business profitability.

This will require a high level of collaboration with sales leaders, product and commercial organization to design and implement holistic pricing strategies that focus on overall customer profitability and value delivery.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage and develop a team of pricing professionals to achieve functional excellence in pricing strategy and process execution.
- Lead the development of a coherent data driven approach to pricing strategy that integrates competitive data, market trends, strategic objectives and sales organization insights into a coherent pricing strategy.
- Lead efforts for formulating pricing strategy for complex new and existing products/services, product implementation, promotions, distribution channel strategies and selection, public policy issues.
- Collaborate closely with global pricing, product, go to market, commercial and sales leadership to establish a clear process to ensure pricing decisions are considerate of the inputs of these core functions.
- Drive the development of appropriate documentation infrastructure including an overarching pricing approach document and a clear pricing playbook that supports fast and flexible approaches to pricing that can quickly adapt to changing market factors.
- Identify opportunities to package product offerings together to drive broader adoption of the products and increase revenue for B2B sales.
- Establish appropriate portfolio margin and profitability targets based on rigorous and objective analysis.
- establish appropriate governance for a for operational reviews, strategic dialogue and regular performance reporting which provide objective and timely information to all relevant stakeholder.

**Role Requirements**:

- Solid experience leading pricing strategy in a B2B environment
- Essential: holder of a First or 2:1 undergraduate degree or similar education/experience; a quantitative background is highly preferred.
- Understanding of market elasticity and pricing impacts on profit margins
- Highly experienced with Excel, Salesforce and other applicable business systems for data collection, financial analysis and computer modeling
- Strong and persuasive verbal and written communication, excellent prioritization and time management skills and creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to quickly develop, test, execute, analyze, and iterate, all the while driving consensus amongst multiple senior stakeholders
- Payments industry experience is preferred but not essential
