Contracts Manager

In addition to its own products, BASF Española S.L. markets more than 5,000 products from the BASF Group: chemical, organic and inorganic products, catalysts; phytosanitary products, plastic materials, dispersions and raw materials for the inks, paints, plastics, paper, ceramics and cosmetics industry.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement in collaboration with the project team EPC/EPCm and Construction contracting strategies to enable the best execution for a project.
- Conceptualize and develop tailored EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts based on aligned strategies and the project needs.
- Lead the tendering process following the defined strategies and procurement procedure and select competitive bids compliantly.
- Identify commercial and legal risks and mitigate such proactively in close cooperation with the project team and other functions (e.g. legal).
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses. Lead the negotiations.
- Act as central point-of-contact for all commercial activities related to the EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts during tender and execution phase.
- Ensure the proper implementation and handling of the commercial contract elements during execution phase.
- Work collaboratively, efficiently and effectively with internal clients, including Business Unit, Legal, Finance, Tax, Audit, etc., and external parties.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or Engineering; Master's degree will be considered as a plus.
- At least 10 years of contract administration experience and 5 years of them as a Contract Manager or in a similar position.
- Substantial Experience in tendering and negotiating EPC/EPCm and Construction contracts.
- Strong commercial thinking.
- Good knowledge of Contract Law and Construction Law is preferred.
- Profound procurement knowledge.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is required, German is valuable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder mgmt.. skills, entrepreneurial and teamwork spirit.
