For our GBS Strategy and Value Realization team, we are looking for a:
**Head of Intelligent Automation CoE**

The head of the Intelligent Automation CoE will be charged with driving forward and implementing the digital strategy within Bayer GBS and will be the functional lead for the Intelligent Automation CoE spread out over our seven different locations across the globe.

The Intelligent Automation CoE within Bayer is spearheading the digital innovation and relentlessly pursuing greater efficiencies through automation and AI within GBS and Bayer as a whole. In addition, the CoE will be the key enabler to ensure we transform data into insights driving actions to realize value beyond the traditional efficiency measures like cost reduction, and in sales increase, cash generation and UX/UI experience. The clear ambition supported by the Board of Management is for GBS to be the value partner of choice by generating business value, driving process excellence and providing people development opportunities. The digital innovation driven by the IA CoE will be one of the key enablers in support of this vision for both GBS, and Bayer as a whole.

The Head of the IA CoE will be a member of the Strategy and Value Realization leadership team of GBS.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Leading a global team of ±100 IA CoE professionals
- Refine, coordinate and lead the governance framework for the IA CoE including KPIs monitoring and reporting
- Promote, educate and continually increase awareness of the automation capabilities of GBS to key stakeholder groups and business forums
- Build strategic internal and external partnerships to enable innovation, scale and speed
- Actively participate and/or lead automation opportunity discussions with the relevant stakeholders
- Develop new and innovative ways to accelerate the identification of process standardization and automation opportunities across GBS and Bayer
- Leveraging automation leading practice, bring continuous improvement in the delivery framework, design and development standards of the CoE
- Guide a team of leads, consultant and vendor partners for the design, development and PM of all approved automation projects
- Manage and continually optimize the Automation CoE budget including return on investment associated with automation projects
- Continually define ways to increase internal business partner satisfaction and deepen relationships with IT
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams and IT to align the introduction of new technologies
- Effectively and appropriately escalate relevant information to leadership stakeholder
- Monitor and evolve risk management practices associated with automation artifacts
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and security requirements

**We would expect from you**:

- 3-5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in leading and scaling automation CoE
- 3-5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in deploying next generation digital capabilities (RPA, OCR, AI/ML, Process mining, Chatbots, etc.)
- 3-5+ years of (or equivalent) experience in portfolio and project management to execute automation initiatives
- 3+ years of hand-on experience in automation technologies (e.g. RPA, MS PowerAutomate, process mining, etc.)
- Creative and strategic thinker with strong collaborative leadership skills to work in partnership with stakeholder and senior leadership teams
- Proven track record of establishing, accelerating and growing CoE across an organization
- Preferably experience in setting up Digital as a Service as an enterprise wide capability
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with global teams
- Leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop teams with different backgrounds
- Project Management skills: proven ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel.
- Positive, collaborative and solution-oriented attitude
- Preferably a good mix of technical, consulting and business background
