We are actively looking for a Product Owner to join our Valencia office and the NextPort by Moffatt & Nichol Team. As part of the NextPort Group, the Product Owner will be in charge of leading the detailed definition and development of the SmartPort Product. This is a key role for creation and setup of the NextPort SmartPort Product helping our customers in their digital transformation programs, generating practical and tangible business outcomes.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Act as the interpreter between non-technology and technology groups regarding business requirements and system capabilities.
- Understand and translate the product vision into standard SDLC requirement documentation (via PRDs, process flows, epics, features, stories) to ensure development team’s understanding of the problem statement and business needs.
- Build and maintain a backlog of stories/features to support the product roadmap and work closely with product management to ensure synchronization of product initiatives to backlog features/stories.
- Play a leading role for the team in fulfilling Agile software development efforts including:

- Lead requirements gathering effort on the epics, as needed — consulting with product management, implementations, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Document story details based on the epics in coordination with development.
- Attend scrum meetings including standups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Participate in or lead backlog grooming to decompose and estimate stories.
- Create mockups and works with UX on design.
- Answer questions from developers and clarify requirements.
- Document new features for implementations and release notes.
- Write business user acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrate the latest iterations to customers (pre-release) and gather feedback.
- Participate in integration/UAT test plan development and result review prior to functionality release.
- Promote cross-team collaboration in the development of software, tools, and processes to drive continuous improvement in product quality and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure the optimal design and delivery of solutions.
- Active involvement in all stages of the project life cycle to ensure that the solution fulfils business requirements.

**Areas of Focus & Internal Interfaces**:

- Lead operational input and software definition for Ports projects: cross-functional and highly visible role, required to work closely with multiple stakeholders and earning trust at all levels in MN and NextPort and with customers.
- Enable deployment and utilization of MN technology solutions, such as FlexTerm: Collaboration with product management and technical resources for product development and delivery to customers.
- Active contribution to customers in Port Digitalization and Innovation: Support business development and sales engineering on new market segments and on existing customers engagement.
- Support company overall strategy consolidating opportunities in Ports: Coordinate collaboration with Port customers, as well as product partners that will integrate with MN technology solutions at eco-system level.
