The new set-up R&D department has a vacancy in its Barcelona offices, for the following position:
The Position
Analytical Manager is responsible for directing, organizing and executing the R&D analytical area, servicing new R&D development programs (product and process development).
Position to onboard in early stages new laboratory set-up (lab layout, equipment procurement, installation and qualification) and R&D department creation.
The main activities and responsibilities
- Organization and delivery of Analytical support to Centrient New Development programs.
- Analytical method development and troubleshooting.
- Analytical method validation and verification.
- Anticipation and resolution of technical challenges.
- Analytical team member into New Pipeline programs Project teams.
- Analytical team alignment and organization aligned with Lab Manager priorities and development activities.
- Analytical CRO management in case externalized activities.
- R&D Project management alignment on execution and reporting.
- New registrations and Defficiency Letter’s support and corresponding analytical activities execution.
- Analytical lab layout definition, equipment selection and installation and routinely qualification.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role (preference in pharma industry).
- Science degree (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, chemistry )
- Analytical transversal techniques experience: endotoxin, chromatography's (UPLC, HPLC, ), with Mass spectrometry.
- Experience with product quantification techniques (API and protein): SDS-PAGE, Western-Blot, HPLC
- Experience with stability programs (plan, execution and reporting).
- Analytical development, validation and technology transfer capabilities.
- Pharma knowledge highly preferred: process, documentation and content.
- English skills required
