How to contribute to our vision
- Implements and conducts Supplier Management in predefined methods, tools and processes.
- Represents Supplier Management in cross-functional councils and assures communication of relevant information.
- Identifies suppliers to be evaluated and coordinates (assignment of responsibilities).
- Ensures cross-functional input/discussion and verification of evaluation results.
- Reports relevant Supplier Management data.
- Defines and realizes improvement measurements. Initiates corrective actions in case of deviations from the target.
- Ensures systematic exchange of best practice information.
- Conducts training courses on Supplier Management.
- Supports cross-functional network partners related to Supplier Management.

New Supplier Development Manager - Strategic Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a new created area with in the towers strategic procurement department, New Supplier Development Manager - tower conversion which will be responsible for managing and executing the strategy for traditional steel towers for both ON & OF.

What will you do?

As a New Supplier Development manager, you will work with strategic activities in relation to purchasing steel towers from external suppliers of Siemens Gamesa. In this position, your main responsibilities will be:

- Work with long term forecast and align with specific regional markets to identify areas of opportunity for tower manufacturing / market serviceability
- Identify opportunities for Tower Manufacturers could supply both local and global markets
- Develop cross-functional teams working with forecasted new facilities and partnerships across Europe, Asia & Americas.
- Define and implement sourcing strategies in conjunction with tier 2 suppliers to foster growth, confidence and adaptability including furthering the different options from directed scouring to free issue of materials
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of global supply markets, new technologies, supply landscape and pricing trends
- Support technical cost out measures with cross-functions
- Prepare and conduct negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings
- Plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
- Support Supplier Management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)
- Ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to achieve high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
- Contribute to our Supply Chain footprint and achieve single source reduction and pooling activities

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for
- Preferably experience in steel manufacturing, SGRE direct materials departments, tower manufacturing / welding, or project procurement
- Analytical thinking and structured approach with ability to simultaneously manage different projects
- Strong experience in executing strategies that materialize in effective tactics
- Strong track record of managing budgets and forecasting prices
- Strong team-player with the ability to work independently
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken), Spanish is a plus
