Chief Executive Officer

To face the challenges,** SolaQua** is looking to appoint a new **Chief Executive Officer** to create and lead the company. An entrepreneurial, ambitious, and driven general manager with a high level of energy and passion for creating projects from scratch, willing to be the head and the heart of the company.
**Responsibilities**
- Formulate and drive, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, the mission, vision, and global strategy of SolaQua.
- Design and implement the annual Business Plan, executing the strategy for the coming year.
- Drive the local and international business development, deliver on the objectives set, and actively co-create the activities as planned in the yearly business plan.
- Design and implement the fundraising plan and represent the company in all needed local and international fora, institutions, and events.
- Build, lead, and maintain a high-performing diverse team by creating an inclusive environment and offering opportunities for staff to excel in undertaking their responsibilities.
- Business leader with a minimum of 7 years experience in (top) executive positions, managing interdisciplinary functions.
- Technical background with a proven track record in the PV market and in PV irrigation systems, creating and growing business.
- Ideally experienced in international, matrixed, working environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Spanish and English.
- True team player who creates trust; proactive and transparent, and fosters the right working climate.
- High tolerance to ambiguity and adaptability whilst keeping the right balance between short, medium, and long-term objectives.
**Location and travel**
- Although the Solaqua team is still small, the CEO will be integrated into the same office space as the QPV team, a start-up with 25 employees and a pleasant working environment. (Madrid este-norte, between M30 y M40.
- The position will initially demand traveling around 30% of the time and a company car will be available.
