PMO - Program Management Officer, EU ATS ACES

You’ll be taking the lead on reporting on the design and launch of new programmes for our customers. You’ll also oversee programmes that are already running and work with the team to increase visibility and reduce manual reporting. Key job responsibilities
- Track programmes, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables
- Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with a variety of other Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices
- Within a programme environment, lead a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and drive progress
- Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards

A day in the life
As a PMO, you'll be responsible for supporting the team to plan, implement, and improve initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues to understand how they work, what your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team
As part of Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES) team, we work to continually improve the Amazon Logistics experience. We look after high-impact initiatives and help to develop, roll out and look after a range of logistics-focused projects. Recent examples include launching and expanding micro-mobility delivery (via e-cargo bike or on foot) across Europe, and electric vehicle delivery. Using data-driven tools, we’re able to see how we can make processes better and more efficient, or how we can reduce waste across the business.

Our team supports field operations to launch new programmes and technology-based solutions across Europe, helping them meet customer demand and drive customer-focused innovation. We’re also responsible for raising the bar for our learning teams and making the onboarding experience for Associates, Delivery Partners and Managers as engaging as possible.

There are lots of different opportunities within the ACES team, so we welcome people with a broad range of skillsets. We work across a network of 200+ delivery stations to make sure everything from onboarding to delivery methods are as effective as possible. At its core, we work to make Amazon a safe, enjoyable place for our people and ensure on-time deliveries, always.

- Advanced or master’s degree
- Project-management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
- Experience working in an operational environment or with technical teams
