**Medical Excellence Lead - ViiV Healthcare**

The purpose of this role reporting to the Country Medical Director is to strengthen medical operational excellence and performance, to embed innovative strategies and tools as well as ensuring development of the required capabilities. The Medical Excellence Lead will be responsible for overseeing and driving operational excellence within the medical affairs function, developing, and implementing strategies to optimize medical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of medical activities

This role will need to work across Medical Affairs and other functions such as Analytics, Capabilities Lead and Digital team to drive efficacy and capability evolution through appropriate initiatives to meet the scientific needs of healthcare professionals and provide scientific support for the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Represent business voice, leverage medical platforms, and support implementation and maintenance of Medical Affairs processes, Performance reviews and projects across Spain & Portugal.
- Being the coordinator of medical projects & activities, including external educational activities, internal training and advice seeking activities.
- Management of MSLs and medical materials such as scientific slide decks and invites for medical events.
- Serve as LOC medical representative and Champion for Medical Digital projects to support transversal business prioritization exercises (e.g., Business Planning) and ensure follow-up of delivery.
- In collaboration with medical leadership team and capability lead, identify, coordinate, and execute training and roll-out of new excellence/capability strategies for medical teams according to business demand
- Scientific trainer to the VHL sales representatives/new MSLs regarding HIV area and VHL products utilizing approved Sales Training materials.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Graduate in Sciences or similar.
- Experience in Pharma setting or Medical Dept, with an innovative and a scientific-driven mentality.
- Excellent understanding of medical functions and medical affairs activities.
- Demonstrated abilities in project management or operational experience.
- Experience and competencies in Digital Projects. Open to innovation and willing to drive change.
- Advanced English level. Good computer skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proactivity and ability to think creatively and competency to initiate and manage medical projects. Good understanding of business metrics.
- Solution-oriented working style under consideration of medical governance and Code of Promotion and Scientific Engagement.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communications skills. Ability to develop relationships based upon trust and mutual respect.
- Presentation skills to present data in a compelling and credible manner.
- Experience in the field of HIV and knowledge of needs of People Living With HIV.
