For our operations in our factory in **Alcala de Henares**, we are currently seeking a **business unit manager.**

**Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Co-ordinates, controls and coaches the activities of the team in the Production and Warehouse areas.
- Ensures GMP, EHS and Quality requirements are met in the area of responsibility.
- Ensures that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality.
- Approves the instructions relating to production operations and to ensure their strict implementation.
- Ensures that the production records are evaluated and signed by an authorized person before they are sent to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Checks the maintenance of the departments, premises and equipment.
- Ensures that the appropriate validations are done.
- Ensures that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted to the need.
- Actively drives and encourages the identification and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives within the Production and Warehouse departments.

**Qualifications**:

- Pharmaceutical, Sciences or Engineering Degree
- 10 to 12 years manufacturing experience of which 5 years should be at a Management Level
- Additional managerial qualification would be advantageous
- Projects/Continuous Improvement/Maintenance management experience and skills
- Lean/Six Sigma experience will be advantageous
- A strong track record in building, managing and motivating high performing teams
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be customer focused
- Previous OTC or practice in Pharma would be an added benefit for the role
