For a HNW German family with two teenagers (12 and 15) who own a large villa in the Santanyi municipality of Mallorca (south) we are looking for a live-in couple (Chef/ Head Housekeeper). Both must be drivers and have good working knowledge of Spanish.

The property is a newly built modern 4 bedroom property in its own grounds. It was only just completed and is located in a rural area outside the town. The family and their friends will be using the villa over the summer and then regularly for the holidays. The villa is technically very advanced. One housekeeper will be employed part-time over the season and holidays and the Owners would like the couple to live in the property before the summer starts to iron out small things that need adjusting. Knowledge and experience in creating a vegetable garden (raised beds) would be a great benefit.

**The duties of the Domestic Couple **(interchangeable):

- Ensuring the smooth running of villa (snag list)
- Overseeing the purchase of all items still required
- Supervise the housekeeper and provide training if required
- Preparing villa for visits and to high standards
- Shopping for fresh produce and preparing meals (occasionally to dinner party standard)
- Stocking fridges, dry cupboards, wines and beverages
- Taking care of laundry (bedding is taken to the laundrette in Campos)
- Overseeing contractors (window cleaners, underfloor heating, electric sunshades and windows, security, gardeners etc.)
- Checking outside area and furniture
- Opening and closing the property
- Carry out small repair jobs
- Caring for indoor plants
- Obtain quotes and deal with utility bills
- Preparing villa for small events and assist in delivering these events
- Reporting regularly to Principals

**The requirements of the Domestic Couple**:

- A min. of 6 years' experience working together
- Both must be legal to work in Spain
- Clean driver´s licenses
- Fluency in English or German (the family are bilingual) with working knowledge of Spanish
- Excellent property management skills and experience of working in warm climates and within a technical household
- Great cooking skills (healthy cuisine)
- Ideally knowledge of creating a vegetable garden (or at least willing to)
- High standards, well organized and with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently
- Recent security check
- Written references from past employers

For accommodation there is a two bedroom chalet within the grounds with its own drive and entrance. It includes all modern amenities (dish washer/ AC/ TV / heating etc). A car is provided.

The family is very casual, easy going and has very high standards. They have had a German domestic couple care for their villa in Germany for over ten years. There is frequent entertaining when the Owners have family and friends stay over. They would like the villa to run smoothly to make their stays enjoyable. Some flexibility will be required during the season with hours reduced during off season.

**Hours**: Mon - Fri, 8am - 6pm/ 7pm (with a 2-3 hour lunch break, depending on whether guests are staying), some help may be needed when events are held over the weekend (time in lieu given). The hours can be reduces when the no one is in residence.

**Salary**: €75000- 85000 gross per couple per annum (spread over 13 months) depending on experience, plus holidays. This is a permanent role with accommodation provided.
