**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

**In Global T&O, we are looking for the Head of Cross Data Platform to join our global team in Madrid.**

**Santander One Transformation **aims to have a single and open Platform for the entire Santander group, based on:

- a shared technological underlying platform, with common standards and connectors, that will enable the easy addition of IT business solutions (Retail, Commercial, Cards, Global Units and Business, Payments,)
- a set of service components for the different layers of the Group's e2e business model (Channels, CRM, Processes, etc ) that can be easily integrated into the common platform and shared (reused) among entities, enabling the standardization of our service models and delivering synergies and added value to the entities and the Group as a whole.

In this dynamic landscape, we are actively constructing **the Group's Data Platform **while formulating an operational model that fosters a holistic perspective of data. Our strategic endeavour is centred around the development of an avant-garde Technological Platform that enables a seamless and integrated treatment of data across the entire group, guaranteeing swift, user-friendly, secure, and efficient accessibility. This platform will facilitate the entire data lifecycle, encompassing data generation, processing, and consumption, underpinned by a standardized technology stack across all entities. Leveraging high-level automation, it will elevate data delivery and consumption, while concurrently offering comprehensive global data product catalogues to optimize data utilization. Ultimately, our unwavering focus is to optimize the data consumption experience for our valued end users.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As **Head of Cross Data Platform, **you will report to the **Head of Global Data Architect **and your responsibilities will be:

- Serve as the primary advocate and communicator of the company's data strategy and Data Platform, ensuring that all members of the organization understand and align with the established strategic objectives.
- Generate impactful and compelling documentation, including presentations, reports, and visual materials, to convey the vision and key concepts related to the data strategy to different audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements in the field of data, maintaining constant contact with vendors to explore new technological trends and solutions that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our data operations.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with external vendors and partners, ensuring that agreements are fulfilled and that we maximize the value obtained from the technologies and services we utilize.
- Provide visionary leadership and collaborate closely, guided by the CTO vision, with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute projects involving strategic technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence) that drive the growth and success of our organization in the field of data.
- Maintain a strategic and future-oriented focus, anticipating emerging needs and challenges in the data field and proposing proactive initiatives to address them.

**We need someone like you to**:

- As an esteemed technology and data expert, you will play a pivotal role in effectively communicating our Data strategy. You will be responsible for effectively communicating our data strategy to all relevant stakeholders.
- Create impactful documentation for events and presentations, tailored to different audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological trends and closely collaborate with vendors in their evaluation and selection, providing periodic updates to the organization on market trends in the field of data.
- Take the lead in strategic projects within the Data CTO domain, ensuring their successful execution and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
- Make financial, HR and organizational decisions in accordance with the Santander framework. Contribute to the cross-functional performance management process.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a renowned consulting firm, with a focus on data strategy.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering strategic consulting projects across multiple sectors and functions.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
- Proven leadership in team management and effective collaboration with high-level stakeholders.
- Customer-centric mindset, with strong abilities to establish solid and enduring relationships with stakeholders from other units and geographies within Grupo Santander.
- Demonstrated track record of success in building, inspiring, and leading highly engaged, motivated, and high-performing teams to achieve successful project deliveries.
