Our client is an international company providing financial services worldwide, and they are looking for a Tax Accountant Team Leader to join their multicultural team in Barcelona.

**Main Responsibilities**:
As a Tax Accountant Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing financial tax statements for their client in EMEA. Your tasks will include:
- Ensure that the tax balances under US GAAP to local GAAP are correct
- Complete accurate monthly task reports such as VAT, Payroll, Intrastat report, and Balance sheet, as well as other annual reports
- Liaise with auditors and external consultants for the preparation of auditing reports, such as the PBC list, and annual CIT questionnaires
- Support the team manager to achieve a smooth operation of all transaction parts and reports
- Provide guidance to a small group of team members to ensure clients' deadlines are met
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting, tax, and finance projects
- Collaborate with other ad-hoc accounting, tax, and finance projects
**Core Skills/experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a relevant field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a tax accountant or similar role
- Advanced level of German and English
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and taxation
- Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of SAP ERP
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and time management skills
- Outstanding communication skills, following a supportive and positive approach
- Capable of working in a pressured environment, and tight deadlines
