**Your responsibilities and tasks**:
Product Portfolio, as designated for each Product Manager, (PdM):

- Responsible for managing the global Product Portfolio
- Responsible for defining Product Strategy and prioritized Product Road Maps directing product development in R&D and PE. All in coherence with overall BU Liquid & Filling business strategy, and in agreement with global BU Liquid & Filling, EMEA, APAC & Americas. Issuing the 3-year Product Strategy and Road Map forecast shall follow an annual wheel principle. All efforts are based on:

- Participation in relevant sales hotlist meetings, (new components push, USP, competitor’s evaluation)
- Participation in relevant execution projects evaluation meetings, (product performance, cost and technical)
- Participation in relevant sales offer meetings, (USP, competitors, order won/lost evaluations)
- General market knowledge from e.g. customer seminars, conferences, exhibitions, market intelligence search
- Analysis and benchmarking of competitors technically and cost wise, where relevant and possible
- Alignment with Product Management team

Communication:

- Responsible for communicating and keeping BU Liquid & Filling organization globally (EMEA, APAC & Americas) and R&D & PE departments, updated, at least yearly, of Product Strategy and prioritized Product Road Maps
- Responsible for, assisted by Project Manager and or Component Owner, presenting new Products/Components to BU Liquid & Filling sales organization globally (EMEA, APAC & Americas). As well as assisting sales, if deemed important, with presentation of new Products/Components to selected customers

Product development:

- Responsible for, following and deciding scope, of Product/Component development projects, i.e. new Products development as well as incremental Components development with respect to, - time schedule, - budget and - technical specification. (Product Development Department & PE are accountable for, that agreed to, - time schedule, - budget and - technical specification are met)

New Product/Components launch & follow up:

- Prepares and drives the global product launch, incl. launch strategy and prioritization, considering regional potential, local GEA maturity levels
- Being part of initiating that experience with new Product/Components (technical and cost performance benchmarking) is documented by the Component Owner in PE
- Monitoring product business development vs. agreed targets, implementing measure for improvement if required

Life Cycle Projects (Aftermarket):

- Assist with Product/Component life cycle projects decisions. (Life Cycle project group (aftermarket) to involve PdM where relevant
- Decide on required new components development
- Decide on off SPS solutions, and analyze together with Aftermarket consequences (financial and lead time impact)

Concepts & cost improvement initiatives:

- Being part of initiating and participating in building plant - and equipment concepts, standard solutions & modules within designated Product Portfolio
- Lowering cost
- Avoiding re-engineering by (modularization / preferred solutions, configure to order), showing cost and lead time improvements
- Allowing for repeat/copy solutions, showing cost and lead time improvements
- Reducing design/installation time and mistakes, showing cost and lead time improvements
- Being part of, initiating and assuring, a basis cost calculation of, - materials, - engineering, - installation, of conceptually approved Product solutions for relevant Product sizes (the Standard)
- Allowing for having a basis cost price to compare with
- Allowing for being clearer to customers regarding Product extras
- Allowing for being able to compare actual project costs better with a basis
- Being part of initiating improvement of Components design and reduction of workshop cost
- Standardizing components and workshop operation
- Making components more cost competitive

Patents & Trademarks:

- Assure that patents and trademarks are applied for, where possible and relevant
- Initiate that IP department issues and maintains a list of patents and trademarks, and pending patents within the designated Product Portfolio
- Assure the list is communicated to relevant sales organization
- Participate in patents and trademarks infringement cases, which are managed by IP department

GEA initiatives:

- Support other strategic and corporate initiatives as required (including other GEA functions and businesses)
- Engage and champion the values and objectives of GEA

**Your profile and qualifications**:

- Masters’ Degree in Engineering (Digitalization / Automation) or similar
- Extensive experience in similar functions in either engineering, equipment, or food & beverage manufacturing
