Privacy Legal Counsel

The Privacy team requires an energetic and interested lawyer in developing her career in Privacy/Data Protection.

The role is in Madrid or Queretaro with knowledge on US or EU Privacy regulation.

- Responsibilities
Draft and review Data Privacy & Data Transfer Agreements, in coordination with local internal counsel. Provide privacy support in negotiations with third parties.
Support EU Privacy Consultants regarding local regulatory requirements.
Develop and review site Data Privacy and Cookie Notices.
Research and document complex processing operations, ensuring appropriate lawful basis of processing and data transfer documentation.
Monitor changes in the evolving local regulatory regimes and share them with the Privacy Office team and local business leaders.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the principles of Privacy by Design.
Conduct, support and evaluate Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) activities, especially in the areas of developing new products/services; updating existing products/services, selecting third-party service providers and implementing new internal processes.
Provide support regarding the resolution of complex Data Subject Rights requests.
- Qualifications
Be an EU or US qualified lawyer, with a minimum of three years of practical data privacy experience - especially in the creation of Data Privacy Agreements and Privacy Impact Assessments.
Have formal privacy training and certification e.g., an IAPP-issued certification.
Be committed to a personal program of continuous privacy and professional education.
Have experience with and/or knowledge of various information security standards, tools and systems.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills supported by well-developed analytical skills.
Be fluent in English; other languages are desirable.
Be highly organized and independent; capable of managing a wide range of diverse projects with mínimal supervision.
