Airbus has recently received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets between now and the next 5-10 years.

These targets are based on climate science and cover the full set of its emissions: Scope 1, 2 and 3. In response to this new challenge, the FMRE Spain organization is establishing a roadmap to clearly tackle the objectives agreed.

The area of Energy will be comprised of sustainability specialists, focused on the global view of Decarbonization (with a focus on Scope 1&2 for industrial, office and infrastructure perimeter), Water, Waste & Green Building / Infrastructure improvements. The key mission will be as follows:

- Provide guidance and support to the stakeholders (Airbus Operations, FMRE teams, subsidiaries etc.) throughout the scope explained above
- Drive innovation, best practices & continuous improvement whilst fostering a culture of excellence throughout all entities
- Leverage knowledge & experience to provide value-added services and projects focus on energy consumptions reduction projects.
- Support the standards and guidelines for the operational teams to adhere to during the implementation of Airbus’ global SBTi strategy, with a focus on giving direction regarding the technology bricks to be targeted considering varying factors such as geographical constraints, availability on the local markets etc.

**Your challenges**:
The initial focus will be on achieving the decarbonization targets set for the top x3 contributing sites across Spain and support transversal activities of the global footprint.

It will be your responsibility to support the local operational teams working towards Airbus’ global ambition regarding Decarbonization, Water, Waste, Green Building etc. The role will require you to reinforce the global network with the aim to harness synergies across the different entities in order to achieve target success, whilst identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to add value.

**Your Main tasks**:

- Definition and implementation of the FMRE Scope 1&2 CoE inside the FMRE organization, ensuring a close connection with local FMRE operational teams is established & maintained
- Collect data, ensure accuracy and availability of energy data and report energy and CO2 for authorities / departments
- Analyze data, identify the drivers, build consumption profile, including the monitor, forecast and report budget, additionally to the savings and roadmap plan.
- Support to the energy target and technologies for new building construction project and the energy generation asset operation strategy,
- Realize and maintain Energy Generation Site Master Plan
- Investigate energy savings opportunities & define and implement Energy saving action plan
- Manage site energy saving projects
- Oversee the development and maintenance of an FMRE environmental management system (EMS) that meets & exceeds ISO 14001 / 50001 standards.
- Lead transversal projects on sustainability perimeter by putting the proper governance, reporting and escalation processes in place
- Ensure robust communication plans inside FMRE and outside FMRE with main stakeholders (with support of the FMRE Communication MFT), ensuring collaboration at all working levels.
- Proper delivery of the contributing parties and associated reporting in the defined Steering Committees
- Ensure compliance with all FMRE applicable environmental laws, regulations, and aerospace industry standards

**Your background**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy management / sustainability.
- Masters degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Sustainability or a related field.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to influence & engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated leadership & project management skills, with the ability to drive results in a complex & fast paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends & opportunities for improvements.
- Capability to translate global strategies into local operational roadmaps, working closely with the teams responsible for the roadmap development
- Proven track record of developing & implementing successful sustainability strategies & initiatives
- In depth knowledge of environmental regulations, industry standards, & best practices, including ISO 14001/ 50001 & other relevant certifications
