Supported by market-leading tech developed in-house and used by some of the largest brands in the world we are rapidly scaling up as we expand into new markets and new general insurance verticals.
**What do we do?**:
We make it easier and quicker for our clients to develop, launch and manage different embedded insurance products into their distribution channels. We can work with any insurer and supplier, and either provide a full plug & play service, or modularised resources to support sales onboarding, claims handling, claims fulfilment or any other aspect of the product delivery.
**About the role**:
In the next few months, EIP intends to become approved as an authorised non-exclusive intermediary (‘MGA’) regulated by the Spanish DGSFP, and providing EIP with intermediary access to over 27 EU countries.
As part of this project, we require a seasoned international insurance broker who understands P&C insurance products, with a particular focus on embedded insurances, across continental Europe. Working closely with our MGA Managing Director and key stakeholders within our company, you will spearhead the process of establishing this new intermediary in the market.
**What will you do?**:
- Manage our MGA functions and ensure their continued legal compliance
- Build and expand a network of insurer contacts across Europe addressing all current and anticipated product lines
- Identify opportunities for, and develop, new insurance products in tandem with the business development team
- Work with the marketing team to ensure maximum brand exposure for the MGA
- Negotiate new agency agreements and associated commercial terms
- Assist with the recruitment of additional resources to support the MGA when required
- Ensure the profitable operation of the MGA
**Within the first 6 months you will**:
- Gain a detailed understanding of EIP services and strategy and be able to articulate this externally
- Assist with guiding and shaping the development of this new-to-market proposition
- Develop a plan of communication of the MGA to insurers across Europe and begin to implement same
- Understand and assist with development of EIP target product lines and define available capacity
**What will help you succeed in this role?**:
- Excellent fluency in English
- Level 2 Insurance Mediator Qualification under the Spanish DGSFP.
- University degree in Business Administration, Law or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years as a business insurance executive
- Experience in team management.
- Strong insurer contact network across Europe with a focus on industry sectors such as traditional and digital banks, mobile network operators, insurers, retailers and others offering embedded insurances to their customers.
- Experience in developing new insurer partnerships
- Experience executing B2B2C distribution models
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present, negotiate and influence at C-suite level
