Commercial Data Product Manager

Overview:
- Deep knowledge of Scrum and Agile values & principles

- Ability to balance strategy, governance, and implementation of data-related projects and facilitate the conversations between all impacted stakeholders who consume the data
- Familiar with Azure Cloud services and Data & Analytics products
- Passion about Agility & DevOps and bringing it to life in a large organisation in a pragmatic manner
**Responsibilities**:
- Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and execution of Must Win Battles in Pepsico Europe within the Commercial Data & Digital services team.
- Leads and validates Data Modelling activities as part of the projects he/she leads.
- Owns overall **responsibility** for product delivery. Effectively estimates and manages costs, timescales and resource requirements within the Agile context.
- Act as Product Manager for the Europe Data platform. Define technical roadmap and analyse market data to propose new product opportunities
- Provides leadership to project teams, ensuring that business objectives are set and achieved and that people objectives are fully supported
- Responsible to mentor and coach the team on Agile and DevOps best practices
- Drives the team towards continuous improvements. Facilitates lessons learnt & retrospective sessions when needed.

**Functional Competencies**
- ** Data Product Management**: actively participate in shaping the Europe Data Lake platform roadmap. Balance the day-to-day data ingestion activities requested by the business teams with the data platform evolution (e.g. reduce technical debt, improve automation, grow our framework, increase data Quality, documentation). Be able to leverage datasets available (functional perspective on datasets available).
- ** Business analysis**: Proactively probes to understand and anticipate client/business partner’s needs, including both spoken and unspoken requirements. Leverages a deep understanding of the client/business partner and their business in developing proposals and solutions, drawing from a variety of sources (e.g., internal resources, prior experience, external research, best practices and peers).
- ** Agile & DevOps mentoring**: As facilitator, coordinates and guides the exchange of information and ideas to foster a participatory and collaborative environment. As mentor, will guide the Data & Digital services towards becoming a high performance team. Guiding them in the right direction to maximize team motivation, autonomy and personal development.
- ** Conceptual Selling**: Leads “shaping” of a basic conceptual solution and presents the solution as an opportunity for the business in a positive and compelling way, effectively and proactively addressing concerns and challenges raised by stakeholders. Evolves initial narrow or fractured ideas into business solutions, with strong and clear relevance and impact for the audience that would ultimately invest in it.
**Skills/Experience**
- University education (BS /BA level) or higher required.
- 5+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional modelling and analytics experience.
- 5+ years hands on experience on project financial management and IT vendor management required.
- 3+ years of design and development in terms of ELT specifications for data integration development.
- Strong SQL skills. Desirable experience working with Azure Platform, Databricks, Python & Spark
- Knowledge of Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Data Modelling, and associated tools (Idera, ER Studio, etc.) required.
- Experience defining and implementing MDM solutions highly valued.
- Previous experience of a transformation from Waterfall to Agile Delivery, highly valued.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred.
- CPG experience preferred.
- Geographically mobile, willing to travel across Europe as required for the projects.
- Business-level proficiency in English in mandatory.
