VHIR seek a vacancy/vacant position for a Research Technician within the Group of Mitochondrial and Neuromuscular

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**
Degree in the Biomedical field
- Experience in mice manipulation
- Experience in skeletal muscle histology and immunohistochemistry
- Experience in glycogen biochemical quantification
- Master degree in Biochemistry is required
**Experience and knowledge**:
**Desired: -**
Experience in a variety of laboratory techniques (western blot, qPCR, histology and immuhistochemistry)
- Experience in cell cultures (preferentially skeletal muscle cultures)
- Knowledge in skeletal muscle physiology, muscle fiber types and glycogen metabolism
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, self-motivation and social skills as key personal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Good level of English
**Main responsibilities and duties**:
- Participation in projects involving McArdle and Pompe disease mouse models Characterization of the skeletal muscle glycogen metabolism in these models
- General duties in the laboratory and/or participation to complement other research projects
**Labour conditions: -**
Contract length: one year renewable
- 7h per week
- **Salary**: 4.420,00 €/year
- Start Immediately
