**Laboratory Technician -**

**Nephrology**
VHIR seeks a vacant position for Laboratory Technician within the Group of Nephrology. More information about our group

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:
Technical degree (FPII or similar) of laboratory technician or clinical/biomedical laboratory technician.
Languages: Catalan, English and Spanish.
Technical skills: Knowledge in purification of peripheral blood lymphocytes. Computer skills for database generation.
Personal skills: teamwork, good predisposition to work and with initiative.

Previous experience and the technical skills described in the previous section. The ability to work as part of a team and the
responsibility and capacity to commit to the work performed will also be valued.

Studies, courses or skills required: Knowledge in data generation programs.
Valued languages: A good command of English would be an asset.

Experience in sample processing and cell culture

**Main responsibilities and duties**:
Processing of blood samples to obtain PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells).
Phenotypic description by flow cytometry of the different cell populations.
Functional characterization studies with the ELISPOT IFN-γ and ELISPOT B technique.
Evaluation of the presence of IgG and IgM antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA test in the supernatant of polyclonally

activated and in vitro expanded memory B cells and in serum.
Others: learning and performing all the techniques that are routinely performed in the Nephrology and Transplantation

laboratory.

**Labour conditions**:
Temporary part-time position (30h)

Contract length: until 29/04/2021

Gross annual salary: 15.375,20 €

Starting date: Immediately
