**ISPROX** will support you to join our client's team in Apodaca, as a part of an international motor carrier company providing services since 1991, providing reliable-door to door
- services across USA, Canada and Mexico. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DOT Safety Coordinator.

**Role Defintion**:
The DOT Safety Coordinator is a vital member of the organization responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.

This role primarily focuses on monitoring, implementing, and enhancing safety measures related to the transportation of goods and personnel to ensure the company's operations are conducted safely and in accordance with federal regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. DOT Compliance:

- Stay updated with the latest DOT regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of company vehicles, equipment, and records to ensure adherence to DOT standards.
- Monitor driver qualification files, ensuring all drivers meet the necessary requirements, such as valid licenses, medical certifications, and background checks.
- Manage and track vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repair records to ensure fleet safety and compliance.

2. Safety Training:

- Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for drivers, staff, and relevant personnel to promote safe practices and awareness.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and workshops to communicate essential safety information and address potential concerns.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure safety policies and procedures are effectively communicated and followed throughout the organization.

3. Accident Prevention and Investigation:

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Develop strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents and implement safety improvement initiatives accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of accidents and incidents, preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory authorities as necessary.

4. Emergency Response Planning:

- Develop and update emergency response plans to ensure prompt and effective responses to incidents or accidents involving transportation.
- Conduct drills and exercises to test the efficiency of emergency response procedures and identify areas for improvement.

5. Record Keeping and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to DOT compliance, safety training, and accident investigations.
- Generate reports for management on safety performance, compliance status, and areas of concern regularly.

6. Liaison with Regulatory Authorities:

- Act as the primary point of contact for DOT regulatory agencies and represent the company during audits and inspections.
- Address any compliance issues or inquiries from regulatory authorities and work proactively to resolve them.

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for enhancing safety protocols and processes and implement necessary changes.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement safety-related policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to transportation.
- Experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics with a focus on safety and compliance is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess safety risks and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey safety information and collaborate with various teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Familiarity with safety training methodologies and techniques.

Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León, México

**Salary**: $25,000 - 35,000 The salary for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience

Weekly salary payment - Flexible on-site schedule
