**Operations Coordinator**

** - This position is based in La Paz, Bolivia**

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support for the administrative and financial of the program. Duties are varied and include overseeing financial transactions, reviewing grants transactions, providing grants administration support, maintaining filing and reporting systems, creating reports and analysis, new hire onboarding, and other proactive office support to ensure the efficient functioning of the department. They will also provide as-directed meeting/conference planning, time recording, travel, and IT liaison support.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work to ensure operational services within the department run smoothly.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and managing HR paperwork.
- Oversee day-to-day financial transactions. Duties include reviewing and preparing check requests, reimbursements, reclassifications, and other related transactions.
- Provide grants administration and support. Duties include reviewing and verifying contract information, entering and maintaining contract information in CI’s grant management systems, and generating reports.
- Assist with the annual budget process. Generate analysis and reports for the management team.
- Create and review expense reports, track expenses and ensure accurate coding.
- Review time reporting for proper coding and charging. Work with payroll to make corrections/reclassifications.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and handle travel expense reports.
- Manage filing systems.
- Track contracts and donor agreements and review for compliance with donor agreements.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit requirements.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Available to travel to all regions where CI Bolivia programs and projects are developed.
- Guidance on flexible work arrangements will be shared during the interview process.
- Expected to be a 22-month assignment, anticipated to begin in February 2023 and end in December 2025.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required**
- 2 to 4 years of related work experience. Experience in providing operations support and managing financial and grants transactions preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, proven team player.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in MS Office and ERP’s.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish).
- Experience with interpreting data and generating reports and analysis.
- Highly organized and motivated.
- Proven experience in Tax legislation, international and local accounting standards

**Preferred.**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related.
- Manifest and proven interest in issues related to nature conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development of indigenous peoples and local communities
