Eurovision Services (ES) is looking for a Head of Procurement for the Business Strategy & Procurement team at Eurovision Services Madrid, Spain.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS STRATEGY & PROCUREMENT TEAM

The Business Strategy & Procurement department is responsible for mid to long-term business strategy, looking at trends in the market and specifically assessing the potential impact of technology trends in the satellite, telecommunications, and media industries, as well as synchronising Sales, Technology and Operations road maps with the overall ES multi-year strategic plan.

The Head of Procurement is responsible for leading all global procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable budget holders and units to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives. The role is a champion of economies of scale and value for money. An innovative dealmaker of outstanding ability, this manager will negotiate strategically important supply deals (generally equipment, fibre and satellite related) to deliver ‘best-in-class’ network resources for the organization, contributing to a viable business case for customer solutions.

The Head of Procurement will develop, at the most appropriate level, the necessary networking with the key suppliers in order to be able to get the necessary level of attention and support even after the contract signature and during the whole life of each service ordered by ES. This role will provide all necessary inputs for the “ES Procurement Policy”.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

**In this role as Head of Procurement, you will**:
Gain insight into industry technology trends, working with Strategy, Sales & Operations to ensure a unified overall corporate strategy and aligned long term budget plan.
Implement network procurement strategy based on utilization and feedback from Operations and Sales
Develop a procurement team with a strong understanding of Customer needs.
Support and contribute to the development of a portfolio of services that meet the expectations of Customers, providing excellent value for money to the company.
Identify and develop relationships with key suppliers in the industry.
Participate in conferences and exhibitions representing ES when required.
Ensure the best value for money to Eurovision Services and the EBU.
Be responsible, together with the ES budget for the respect of the external cost financial targets of each specific opportunity or projects (e.g. major events, permanent infrastructure).
Take into consideration in each negotiation the ES cash flow impact, in collaboration with the ES Finance Manager.
Onboard, lead, train, coach and motivate the team members in a customer dedicated and company result-driven spirit.
Ensure relevant supporting material is available for the team members to correctly achieve their daily tasks and projects.
Ensures team members are up to date in terms of skills and knowledge, and requests/organizes relevant trainings and skill transfers whenever needed.
Define, communicate, and monitor team members KPIs.
Manage team members absence, travel, remote work requests, while ensuring unit work continuity.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years of experience within international environment in sales and/or procurement function.
Proven experience in people management and leadership skills.
Proven financial literacy, and ability to manage large budgets efficiently.
Proven multidimensional business capabilities (negotiation, technical specifications, financials, legal terms and conditions).
Excellent organisational skills.
Professional level verbal and written communications skills.
Fluent in English.

ADDED VALUE

**Additional experience in the following areas would be a bonus**:
Experience or knowledge in the broadcast industry
Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed and international teams (our headquarters are located in Switzerland).
French is a plus.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in telecommunication, electronics or business.
