**Data Steward and Analytics Expert Procurement Pharma Product Supply**

**Your Tasks and Educational Objectives**

As Data Steward and Data Analytics Expert you are responsible to develop the roadmap for data analytics and leading data driven improvement projects and initiatives within the Procurement Area Pharma Product Supply (PS). Establish and manage governance process(es) for data management and reporting to accelerate the Procurement work and positively influence Procurement Pharma’s supply chain resilience and category strategy decisions.
- In detail:_
- Development of a heatmap / roadmap for improvement needs with regards to data analytics and data management in the area of Pharma PS (e.g. market intelligence, price indices and cost inflation management, internal category assignments, vendor master data cleansing, taxonomy, identification of ways to avoid duplications, inefficiencies and manual workload).
- Drive development and implementation of solutions for prioritized topics identified in the heatmap / roadmap in collaboration with the entire Procurement Pharma PS team.
- Leverage existing data sets and market intelligence to improve budgeting and forecasting (PPV, Straco) for Procurement Area Pharma PS by developing a robust data source that allows unified and reliable price simulations for Pharma PS categories.
- Improve Pharma’s supply chain resilience by combining internal data sets (Bill of Materials) with the results of external supply chain analytics (Sub-tier x analysis and global incident monitoring).
- Ensure high data quality through regular data validations and develop sustainable solutions to address data quality issues, contribute towards improving data trustworthiness (ensuring up-to-dateness of internal databases and improvement of data collection processes).
- Be the ‘Go to person’ for new data requirements, data access and data quality issues in the Procurement Area Pharma PS, translating requirements into proof of concepts and solutions and consulting the team.
- Document and present results team-internally and to stakeholders.
- Structure the data, promote data-driven decision making and enable Procurement Pharma PS to draw meaningful conclusions from data available.
- Research new methodologies and benchmarks with regards to data management in Procurement.
- Build and leverage the Procurement and Bayer network to understand, implement, and share best practices.
- Support Procurement Pharma PS Program Manager in coordination and execution of various internal activities related to e.g. Sustainability, Culture, Supplier Segmentation, Procurement Excellence.

**Who you are**
- Masters Degree or PHD in the field of Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Information Technology, Business Administration or comparable.
- Knowledge in the following fields: Data Science (Data Management, Data Analysis, Data Visualization), business processes.
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, PowerPoint etc.
- Professional working experience in the area of Data Science, Controlling, Agile Project Management (e.g. Scrum) or Procurement are a plus.
- High degree of self-initiative, structured way of working, and commitment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and resilience.
- Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from different fields.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous initiatives, be highly organized able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in finding solutions and translating data needs and analytical business cases into structured data and precise User Stories.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
