**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required.**

University degree in biomedical sciences

**Experience and knowledge**:
Required:
Study coordination training

Clinical trials data management (e-CRF, AE, SUSARs) experience.

Good English skills.

Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access or similar).

Training in Good Clinical Practice / ICH (less than 2 years ago)

Desirable:
Experience with study coordination or data management in paediatric clinical trials or paediatric

clinical research

Experience with industry-sponsored trials

Experience with biological samples processing and management

Good communication skills and good team player

**Main responsibilities/duties**:
The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d’Hebron Hospital treats around 120 children and

adolescents with cancer as well as up to 500 new patients with haematological conditions and performs 40

stem cell transplantations per year. All research is conducted through the Translational Research in Child

and Adolescent Cancer Group of VHIR. There are 18 phase 3/4 clinical trials ongoing and several patient

2 study coordinators and 2 research nurses, and be involved in the day-to-day conduct of late phase clinical

trials and patient registries.

Coordinate phase I and II clinical trial research in paediatric haematology and oncology, trial set up

activities, support clinical trial monitors

Data entry, data management and query resolution for early phase trials in paediatric haematology

and oncology

Assistance to trial principal investigators (paediatric haematology & oncology consultants) with day-to
- day conduct of late-phase trials at the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d’Hebron

Hospital

Communication with sponsors

Assisting the research team with sample processing for late phase trials

**Labour conditions**:
Full-time position

Start: Approximately mid-July / early-August 2020

Length of the contract: Cover of maternity leave. Subject to adequate performance after 1 month of

starting.

Gross annual salary: 22.823,22 €
