Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an EBC (Everest Business Centre) Manager to be based in our Madrid office. This pivotal role will drive the successful international expansion of Everest in Europe. The key purpose of the role is to build and lead the operational capabilities necessary to support the expansion, ensuring seamless middle and back-office functions while aligning with Everest's goals and strategies.

The primary responsibility of the EBC Manager is to establish and lead a centre of excellence that serves as a hub for providing services and capabilities to countries within the International Insurance blueprint. The role requires developing and implementing best practices, standard operating procedures, and service-level agreements across various functions such as Claims, HR, Finance, Technology, Actuarial, Facilities, and Compliance among others. By creating a culture of excellence, the manager enables these functions to deliver exceptional support and services to internal stakeholders and clients.

In addition to overseeing the centre of excellence, the role involves providing shared services support to European and UK branches. This entails managing the middle and back-office underwriting operations, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The EBC Manager's leadership in this area is vital in optimizing operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Core Responsibilities:
- Building Operational Capabilities: The EBC Manager is responsible for building the necessary operational capabilities to support Everest's international expansion in Europe. This involves developing and implementing efficient middle and back-office processes, systems, and infrastructure. The manager ensures that the operational capabilities align with the requirements of the expansion and facilitate smooth and effective business operations.- Establishing a Centre of Excellence: The EBC Manager creates and oversees a centre of excellence that provides services and capabilities to countries within the International Insurance blueprint. This includes developing best practices, standard operating procedures, and service-level agreements across various functions such as Claims, HR, Finance, Technology, Actuarial, Facilities, and Compliance. The centre of excellence serves as a hub for delivering high-quality support and services to internal stakeholders and clients.- Shared Services Support: The EBC Manager provides shared services support to European and UK branches, specifically focusing on middle and back-office underwriting operations. This involves ensuring efficient and accurate processing of underwriting tasks, adherence to policies and guidelines, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives. The manager plays a key role in optimizing shared services operations and ensuring a high level of service delivery.- Centre of Excellence Services: The EBC Manager oversees the provision of services as a centre of excellence to the International Insurance business. This includes functions such as Claims, HR, Finance, Technology, Actuarial, Facilities, and Compliance. The manager ensures that the centre of excellence delivers exceptional support, expertise, and solutions to address the needs of these functions. This involves continuously improving processes, driving efficiency, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.- Third-Party BPO Management: The EBC Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of third-party Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services. This includes handling the setup and contract stages, monitoring the performance of the BPO providers, and ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).
