We are looking for a professional chef to provide healthy nutritious meals for lunch and dinner for our clients.

The goal is to create simple nutritious balanced meals for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

Person appointed will carry out the following duties and additionally duties not specified:

- To provide a nutritionally balanced lunch and dinner for our clients (max 8) and staff (max 6), adapting the menu to suit dietary requirements.
- Working closely and supervising other chefs (including any cover chefs used)
- Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality
- Keeping a detailed log of food supply and management of food costs within a given budget.
- Provide factura’s for every transaction.
- Keep the office staff informed of any shortages in supply.
- Keep the kitchen clean and tidy at all times.
- Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering (or overseeing ordering)
- Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
- Being responsible for health and safety
- Being responsible for food hygiene practices
- Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
- Training of other chefs, to unify meal types, quality and presentation.
- Use the company car to carry out shopping requirements.

Regular:

- Attending weekly staff meetings, ad hoc staff training and monthly supervision

Occasionally:

- To be available/flexible when family workshops takes place
- To be available/flexible to carry out cooking duties in the absence of another cook.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

Essential
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Previous experience as a head chef
- Previous experience of designing weekly menu plans and budgeting food costs
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- The ability to share a role and work as a team.
- Knowledge of English Language
- Able to legally work in Spain
- Non smoker

Desirable
- Able to communicate in Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school
- Experience/ understanding of a Recovery Centre environment
