**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Manages and administers the physical and technical aspects of database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring/management, and security compliance.
Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- ORACLE database administration.
- Installation and configuration.
- Distributed, Wintel environment.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Several years of experience managing Oracle environments.
- Configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services.
- Design & implement new solutions and environments in collaboration with architecture and development.
- Assists development and architecture teams in debugging issues related to Oracle products.
- Create and automate operational processes and procedures, provide metrics to facilitate capacity.
