Your tasks:
- Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.- Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.- Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts.- Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue.- Participates in annual (quarterly financial) audits, (as well as SOX audit) and special projects.- May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.- Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to: implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varian's business; and maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing immediate organization.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people.- Effective interpersonal skills.- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.- Bachelors Degree or equivalent. 5 years of related experience. One year of management experience or supervisory equivalent.
