The Senior Accountant role is part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) Team within Volvo Cars, which is developing and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in PTP, OTC and General Accounting and Reporting (GAR).

**What you'll do**
You have a good understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis skills, and the ability to drive complex Accountant processes. You’ll act as an Accounting Manager being responsible for one entire entity for local GAAP, reporting and Statutory filling. Also supporting the rest of the GAD teams. This role is the main contact in GAD with the CFO and Business Controller in each entity ensuring collaboration and trust working with the main financial figures.

You will secure that the Polestar Cluster applies correct accounting principles and comply with national and international laws and regulations as well as company guidelines. You will also be responsible for the accuracy of reported financial figures, Ensuring that financial statements are prepared in accordance with Local GAAP and reported according to IFRS

Other responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, monthly closings, account reconciliation and timely and accurate reporting.
- You will be the interface and the point of contact for our Polestar Group Finance Organization, internal customers and external auditors
- Deliver high quality service and advice within the area of responsibility
- Prepare and file tax returns and comply with other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare weekly Cash Flow forecasts.
- Coordinate Audit between all stakeholders and responsible to provide audit request on time (group and local).
- Lead or participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvement, automations etc.
- Lead internal control and SOX controls for GAD.
- Lead the work for Statuary Financial Statements.

**Do you fit the profile?**
We are looking for a minimum 7-10 years experience in more complex Accounting environments and a high level of English (C1) for this role. Ideally you have a university degree in Finance or equivalent.

- Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
- Be a great communicator with good collaboration skills.
- Have an ability to plan and prioritize with a positive mindset.
- You have high integrity regarding your work
- Capable of dealing with tight deadlines
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- You are service minded and curious.
- Digital skills to enable efficient handling of high number of data and a curios mindset to continue to develop.
- Good knowledge of Taxes, Local GAAP and knowledge of IFRS. Sox knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP systems and Workday is a plus
- Knowledge of Dutch, German, Norwegian or Swedish is a plus.
