Materials Planner and Inventory Control

The Jr. Materials Planner & Inventory Control will maintain processes and procedures which ensure accurate RM inventory, accurate supplier releases, timely material receipts, and 100% on-time delivery from the supply base while balancing inventory levels against risk and transportation costs. He or she will deploy an MRP system to assure all raw material are consistently available when needed. It also responsible for coordinating and guiding activities of production department related to processing materials, manufacturing products and production schedule. The role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation, supplier engagement and the relentless pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvement. In addition, will resolve operational and facilities issues to prevent production delays. The Materials Planner and Inventory Control position will be responsible for the management of the inventory activities for the facility in accordance with the Company's policies, principles, and procedures. Develop a strategic plan with the aim of controlling costs, generating savings, reconciling inventory, and maximizing available working capital.

**Requirements**:

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Inventory Management, or similar financial-based field.
- A minimum of 4 years of inventory control, ERP, planning or related area.
- Must have reconcilement and research experience.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, materials).
- Extensive math skills required for inventory, projections, measurements, calculations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute reliability and honesty.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Good judgment, initiative, attention to detail, drive for change, getting organizational support, building ownership and commitment, making though decisions and developing others.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

- Executes inventory control measures to ensure accurate and safe inventory availability while prepare and execute replenishments.
- Monitor MRP outputs to ensure all material requirements are comprehended in the plan.
- Review current inventory to determine current and future needs.
- Work with purchasing team to ensure raw material plan aligns to business needs.
- Work with supplier manufacturing teams to prioritize production requirements to minimize product stock outs.
- Develop reporting tools to monitor supplier performance against plan and order backlog status.

- Leads monthly plant-based S&OP meetings and consensus forecast meeting.
- Responsible for implementation, then management of the Advanced Planning and Scheduling technology platform including SIOP, Master Planning, DRP, MRP and other systems interfaces as required.
- Monitor daily, the Supply Chain Coverage Report and Balance Due Report and make necessary arrangements to ensure the on-time delivery of material shipments.
- Maintain frequent contact with the suppliers regarding RM release information, weekly reconciliation and the resolution of problems that may arise.
- Perform daily cycle counts of inventories and reconcile issues.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy.
- Analyze MRP data to proactively identify issues that may affect Supply Chain Performance Measures (such as Premium Freight, Part Availability, Downtime, Packaging Shortages, etc.).
- Assist in conducting physical inventories as they may occur.
- Establish Visual Inventory Parameters that will support the 5S (storage, labeling, min/max) on the plant floor.
- Provide updates to KPI (Key Performance Indicators) in areas that include (Inventory Valuation, Inventory DOH, Cycle Counts, Inventory Accuracy and Premium Freight).
