**About this role**

The Gaming Business Unit owns and evolves the Gaming Portfolio of Products within The Workshop. We have office presence in both Spain (Malaga and Madrid) and the UK (Reading and London) and we are looking to bring into our group an engineering leader to take care of our Platform Teams across all locations.

In this role you will be leading a team of engineering managers and solutions architects in an ecosystem with multiple internal and external teams (3rd Party Partners), collaborating across different Enterprise functions and disciplines to deliver against our company strategy. You will work as part of cross functional team, in partnership with Product, Design, Operations and Commercial, amongst other disciplines, to deliver high quality content to our customer while taking care of the product portfolio health and stability.

Delivering outstanding products while sponsoring and fostering standards, principles and best practices across your teams to create a cohesive and interconnected working experience for all our team members across locations and the enterprise..

In this role you will be supporting the transformation and continuous evolution of our ways of working and products, with a strong focus on continuous improvement. Proactively addressing our pain points, challenging the "old ways" of getting things done and getting to the root causes so we can step up or game and deliver higher quality products, in the right way and at higher velocity. The team moves at pace, so there’s never a dull moment and you need to be comfortable with ambiguity and continuous change - this isn’t a role for the faint-hearted

We currently have an extensive Gaming Portfolio where new features and platform evolution are continuously under development. - Sponsoring technology stability and evolution initiatives as part of our roadmap to achieve Platform Stability KPIs.
- Supporting the prioritisation, forecasting, allocation and planning of initiatives within our Portfolio in line with Strategic Plans.
- Empowering the engineering organisation to achieve their targets and fostering a culture of accountability towards the outcomes.
- Partnering with Product and relevant functions to ensure alignment to Principles and Best Practices in the execution of the Product Development lifecyle (PDLC).
- Fostering cross-functional ownership and accountability throughout the end to end delivery of initiatives, actively addressing silos as part of the PDLC.
- Leading and coaching a team of engineering managers and solution architects for high performance and career growth.
- Contributing to the Engineering Leadership community across the organisation to foster alignment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with Central Technology Teams to cascade relevant Gaming inputs for the Enterprise Technology Strategy as well as reinforce agreed standards and KPIs within your teams.
- Providing visibility of engineering challenges and action plans to peers and senior stakeholders, involving relevant parties on the relevant solutions and execution.
