Technician Researcher in Microbiology (International
Health)
Unitat/Direcció/Grup de Recerca Microbiology

Coordination and performance of the activities included in a project for the validation of a chemiluminescence
technique for the detection of anti-Trypanosoma cruzi antibodies in dry blood samples and its implementation
in different Latin American countries.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Biology degree
- Specific/Additional training in International Health
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 3 years of experience working in Clinical Microbiology research
- Knowledge of tropical diseases diagnosis based in microscopic examination, serology and molecular
techniques.

Main responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinate the project in Barcelona and in Latin America sites
- Develop technical laboratory procedures of the project
- Manage clinical samples and laboratory materialCollaborate with project documentation and sample shipmentDissemination of scientific knowledge derived from the project

Labour conditions:
- Full-time/Part-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 23.500 €
- Contract permanent linked project
