Within CO+I, the Cost Team is responsible for supporting delivery of datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year data center construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.

To help us accelerate achieving our objectives, growth, and transformation, we are looking for a strong Campus Cost manager for our Spanish region to lead our cost management team for the regional data center build portfolio to work alongside the Project Management team to commercially manage data center construction projects. **Responsibilities**:
**Core Responsibilities**:
The Campus Cost Manager will work alongside key stakeholders including project management, procurement, and design leads to provide commercial management all projects in the EMEA Southern Region, concentrating primarily on the post-contract stages of the build but including the provision of support from site selection, through design development and procurement. The Campus Cost Manager will fulfil the lead role at a sub-regional level on multiple projects across the EMEA portfolio.

**Primary interfaces**: Microsoft Principal Cost Manager, Regional Cost Managers. Microsoft In-house Global Cost and Estimating teams, Field Cost Management, Risk Managers. Design Managers, Microsoft Technical SME teams and Architect/Engineers. Supply Chain/Procurement teams (Services and Equipment). Program and Project Management teams

**Workload Planning**: Participation in all project stages and planning workload to ensure all vendor appointments are timely made to ensure that cost management activities are adequately resourced. Leading and coordinating the activities of all vendors to ensure deliverables are timely achieved.

**Preliminary Cost Planning**: Liaison with Microsoft Estimating team for review and validation of feasibility estimates. Support to preliminary and interim design stage cost planning/estimating. Interim Estimate updates to business stakeholders / steering group

**Design Team Commercial Support**: From project kick-off through to final design provide commercial support on business cases, value engineering studies and change control as the design evolves from POR though to final design. Project Design Change Control; management of process and coordination of all project baseline design changes during project specific design development. Provide as needed reports identifying the cost of any POR/Baseline design changes. Provision of all commercial data to support Microsoft Change Management process.

**BQ Production and General Contractor Bids**: Blank BQ production and preparation of pricing documents for GC bid events. Provision of General Contractor pre-tender estimates. Commercial RFI / clarification support during bid events. Provision of General Contract bid comparisons and tender reports.

**Cost Reporting**: Preparing regular Cost Status updates and providing commercial input for Stage Gate approvals, Project Financial Status Reports and Senior Management briefings. Support to, and coordination with, program and project management, procurement, design and estimating teams. Provide monthly Final Reports for all pre-contract projects.

**Project Funding**: Provide the PER (funding) managers with all commercial support necessary to ascertain the required timing of the funding intervals and all commercial information needed to back up these funding requests to management. This may involve the production of multiple option cost scenarios, cash flows and commitment plans.

**Benchmarking**:Provision of feedback for our regional benchmarking data. Liaison and coordination with global benchmarking team. Compilation of project indirect costs. Maintaining database and comparisons with baseline data

**Field Cost Management**: Provide leadership, guidance and support to vendor cost teams responsible for commercial management of the GC during the project delivery phase. This may include, but not limited to, agreement of estimates with the GC, agreement of Contract Sums, commercial agreement of all change orders, cash flow and accrual management, review and agreement of all GC procurement of subcontract packages includin
