Local Unit & Position Description:
The Spain and Portugal HR Team is responsible for providing day-to-day HR services according to legal and company requirements and supporting improvement and implementation projects within a range of advisory services and focus areas:

- Maintaining employee conditions including design of benefits, contracting and vendor management
- Compliance with local laws and regulations
- Industrial and employee relations
- Talent acqisition for selected roles
- Employer Branding
- Overseeing local payroll compliance
- Office & commuting Health, Safety and Environment
- M&A support

We are seeking a
**GSS HR Manager** who will be responsible for further development of the HR Services based primarily on a service level agreement. To succeed in this role, you will provide leadership, direction and prioritization to your country team. You need excellent people management skills, a customer centric mindset and the willingness to go the extra mile to contribute to the success of DNV. The GSS HR manager is based in Madrid and reports to the regional manager GSS HR for West, South and East Europe, based in the Netherlands. The GSS HR manager leads a team of 4 permanent and 1 to 3 temporary staff.

HR Team GSS HR Spain and Portugal supports an organisation of 500 employees.

**In your role you will**:

- Be responsible for leading local HR team supporting HR operations, services & implementation initiatives
- Develop and mature the delivery model within the HR Services
- Ensure that all queries are handled with professionalism, high quality and according to the DNV Management System/ legal/ regulatory requirements
- Responsible for monitoring the quality, compliance and effectiveness of the processes
- Maintain a collaborative work relationship with colleagues in various countries especially the global center in Gdynia, Poland, senior managers in the business areas and Group
- Implement process improvements
- Build and coach the team and be able to support the team operationally, if needed
- Provide direction and prioritization to the team, creating an atmosphere of motivation and passion
- Stay updated on trends and market situation within the HR services

Position Qualifications:
**To maximize your chances, you need**:

- To be passionate about Human Resources topics
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field (Human Resources related academic credentials preferred; relevant professional experience in lieu of an advanced degree considered)
- Minimum 5 years of HR leadership/management experience preferred with excellent people management skills, including coaching and mentoring; prior experience in a shared services environment helpful
- Good command of English
- Demonstrable experience in a large, international organization involving substantial change and change management highly preferred
- Demonstrable ability to lead teams, preferably in the shared service organization - excellent people management skills, including coaching and mentoring
- Highly sophisticated communication style to be able to discuss sensitive topics like compensation with business leaders, some of whom may be located remotely
- Ability to develop and implement new ideas or ways of working and adapt to change - an eye for innovation trends and digital solutions
- High ability of issue resolution considering different systems (Oracle systems knowledge will be an advantage)
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite required
