Internal Controls Manager

**Requirements**:
- Experience in identifying/auditing operational risks and controls within a wide range of business processes.
- Good knowledge about Internal controls frameworks such as COSO
- Good understanding of governance, risk management and controls at an operational and organisational level.
- Relevant experience in team management.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate issues and recommendations for improvement and to influence across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Preferably finance or accounting background.
**Responsibilities**
- Planning, coordinating, executing and monitoring all phases of the internal control framework across all business areas.
- Managing and performing the second line of defence design effectiveness assessment of the controls and ensuring that testing results are appropriately documented and communicated.
- Managing, maintaining and reviewing the second line of defence cycle review calendar and ensuring that reviews are completed on time and reports published and communicated.
- Leading the planning and scoping of the second line of defence reviews and understanding of appropriate control sampling.
- Managing and performing the second line of defence operational effectiveness testing of the controls and ensuring that testing results are appropriately documented and communicated.
- Reporting issues and following up on remediation plans.
- Managing, maintaining and reviewing the first line of defence testing calendar and ensuring that results are reported within the given timeline.
- Coordinate internal control assessment reports to be transmitted to the regulators.
