The Project & Pipeline Management (PPM) department is hiring a Global Project and Investment Manager (GPM) to support our activities to support our activities in the Italy & Spain cluster for Onshore wind, Solar and Storage. As part of the European and Australian Development directorate, the Project & Pipeline Management (PPM) department provides project and pipeline co-ordination and support to optimize of all aspects of our multi-GW Development pipeline of Onshore Wind, Solar and Storage projects, including the delivery of ~0.5-1 GW of Financial Investment Decisions per annum from across 11 country markets and growing.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Providing leadership on all aspects of onshore wind, solar and storage project optimization as well as knowledge transfer.
- Co-ordination of approval processes and related activities covering all development projects, including drafting of approval papers, preparations for competitive tenders (Subsidy/PPA) and final investment decisions, project assumption book preparation.
- Providing support to individual onshore wind, solar and storage project developers and teams through the respective co-ordination of:
- internal investment approval processes and reporting;
- provision of periodic reviews of project and/or country specific financial assumptions;
- reviewing and steering project strategy and optimization plans;
- sharing development best practice from across wider European development clusters.
- Maintaining good overall understanding of respective local Development cluster project pipeline.
- Develop relationship interfaces to Commercial and Investment & Valuation and other departments (inc. Operations, Construction, Controlling, Engineering, Procurement).
- Working very closely alongside the relevant Cluster/Country Head of Development.
- Authoring and presenting investment business cases to the RWER board (alongside the respective Country Head of Development) as part of the company’s investment approval process and wider steering framework.
- Provide strong advisory support to senior management by bridging between Development centric activities/interests and those commercial and financial aspects of the onshore wind, solar and storage development pipeline which tend to materialize at late-stage development
- Maintain wind, solar and storage industries knowledge through close relationships with suppliers to share intelligence about product range, pricing and portfolio sufficient to guide optimization.
- Being part of the Global Project Management (GPM) Team Europe&Australia.
**Requirements**:
- Experience (ideally 3-5 years) in the renewable energy market - Essential
- Financial appraisal, analytical skills and modelling of costs and revenues associated with developing and operating onshore wind / solar / storage assets and main levers to optimise project economic - Essential
- Good understanding of the onshore wind / Solar / Storage / Hybrid development process and tasks - highly desirable
- Stakeholder management skills - Essential
- Detailed wind turbine, solar or storage supply industry knowledge - Highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to concisely explain complex topics quickly - Essential
- Influencing and stakeholder management - Essential
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline - Highly desirable
