Are you solution oriented? Are you interested to work in a multi-discipline environment? An opportunity for an **Certification Engineer for Derivatives Programmes **has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

W ithin the Product Integrity organisation, the Certification and Airworthiness team is responsible to manage the demonstration of the certification requirements in front of the authorities.

This task requires close cooperation and coordination with chief engineering organization, services organizations, program organizations and analysis and design organizations.

In particular, this position shall:

- Lead Type Certification activities : Establish the type certification basis and type design definition; develop compliance demonstration program; release airworthiness documentation to the AA (Aviation Authorities); perform airworthiness approvals in accordance with Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) privileges; manage certification projects with AA; manage the internal Airbus Airworthiness network to ensure certification objectives are met Lead the Major Changes Certification activity for allocated modifications.
- Lead the activity of vehicle type acceptance in foreign countries and lead individual vehicle Certification process : Ensure certification of the individual configurations and demonstration of compliance with import requirements; support operator in the demonstration of compliance with operational regulations of AA of the vehicle importing country; endorse concessions (R); support to customers as interface with AA during vehicle delivery
- Lead continued airworthiness activity: Deliver Airworthiness Risk Assessments for Reportable Occurrences and launch associated actions; prepare Airworthiness Review Sheets (ARS) issuance; present the ARS to AA; Negotiate with AA the action plan to remove unsafe condition; ensure certification of inspections and Modification Service Bulletins; ensure appropriate airworthiness directives development Provide expertise to Chief Engineer teams on Certification and Airworthiness.
- Lead Airworthiness Assurance activities: Ensures that organization approval requirements (Design Organization Approval (DOA), Maintenance Organization Approval (MOA) as applicable) are fulfilled Monitor and validate Airworthiness deliverables, managing certifying staff, and the associated process for compliance with part 21/145.

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial or similar Engineering
- The position holder needs basic knowledge on all A/C systems and functions to allow assessing modifications to them.
- At least a working experience of 3 years is required.
- Good English level
- Airworthiness Authorities Orientation
- Negotiation skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge in requirements management
- Knowledge in Certification is appreciated
- Experience in Configuration Management
