Landing Gear Engineer

The Landing Gear Engineer integrates in the design and development team for landing gear and associated systems including both mechanical, control and all technical activities required to achieve the compromised milestones for all landing gear issues during their lifecycle.

The Landing Gear engineer is responsible for efficient production of engineering deliverables, cost, schedule, quality and risk management aspects of the delegated scope of work. The integration role is performed for all Landing Gear ensuring the installation of the different pieces of equipment meets all applicable requirements and PRAs are covered at system level. This requires in depth knowledge of the available simulation and integration tools.

Main functions:
Management and administration of the Landing gear configuration, System requirements.
- Follow up of equipment/systems modifications qualification and certification activities.
- Participation in technical meetings with suppliers and different stakeholders within the company.
- Coordinate the different process of validation (software, electrical, electronic and mechanical functions) involved in the different activities applied and related to Landing Gear Systems
- Perform Hydro mechanical simulations for complex re-design specified equipment and systems to evaluate its behavior (and compared with tests performed on the aircraft).

For this purpose, In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience of following areas is mandatory:

- Hydromechanical systems integration including design, qualification, certification, operation and maintenance aspects.
- Airbus Defense and Space processes and tools.
- Certification process including applicable regulations - V&V process including DOORS Knowledge
- Deep knowledge of Landing Gear and associated Systems processes, activities and tools.

Required Work Experience:

- At least 5 years of experience in Landing Gear Systems Engineering.
- CATIA, DOORS.

Knowledge and experience in models design and integration is highly desirable
- Good leadership and negotiation skills are desirable
- Experience in writing technical specifications both at equipment as well as at system level.
