The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in three main areas, Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Child and Maternal Health, and Urban Health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

- Barcelona**What We Are Looking for**:
ISGlobal is looking for a dedicated Nurse to join our team and support research projects conducted at the International Health Service. The primary focus of this role is to assist in research related to travel-related acute febrile illnesses and rapid diagnostic tests. As a Nurse at ISGlobal, you will play a vital role in research activities, contributing to our mission of improving global health.

**Main duties and tasks**:
**Tasks**:
Patients' Recruitment: Identify and recruit eligible patients for various research studies. Explain the research study objectives, procedures, and potential risks to patients. Facilitate the informed consent process, ensuring patients understand and willingly sign consent forms.
Sample Collection: Collect patient samples following the precise procedures outlined in the research protocol. Ensure the proper handling, labelling, and storage of collected samples to maintain sample integrity.
Case Report Form (CRF) Management: Accurately complete case report forms (CRFs) as required by the research protocol.
Administration of Vaccines and Study Drugs:
Sample Aliquoting and Storage: Prepare aliquots of collected study samples for storage and future analysis, following established procedures. Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and storage of study samples.

**Specific Requirements**:

- Degree in Nursing
- Previous experience in clinical research and sample processing (not mandatory)

- Duration: 2 years
- Starting date:January 2024
- Contract: Full time 40h/week.
- Salary: 33.367 € / year
