**Role Purpose**:
Under the supervision of the Education Program Director (EPD), the Computer Lab Technician Intern will work closely with the Education Program Coordinator and will be responsible for: 1) the set up of the four computer labs, 2) training of the instructors and school leaders on how to maintain and effectively use the computers with their students, and 3) running a succinct computer gaming/programming program for about 30 students from a Hope for Haiti partner school(s) over the summer. He/She will also evaluate the existing labs, troubleshoot system failures and provide solutions to restore functionality.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Coordinate with the Education Team to get to know the project and conduct assessment visit to each beneficiary site
- Coordinate with the Education Team to determine and procure the supplies and materials needed to set up the labs
- Oversee the solar power systems installation prior the computer lab set up
- Create the four computer labs by setting up hardware and installing and/or configuring software and drivers if needed
- Troubleshoot and repair technological equipment such as routers and peripheral devices
- Perform upgrades to ensure systems are updated
- Provide technical support/training and teach users (instructors, school leaders and students) how to utilize the computers correctly
- Assess the existing computer labs and repair equipment and/or systems if needed
- Run/pilot a Summer computer gaming/programming program for about thirty students from an HFH partner school
- Development impact stories and capture outstanding moments of students and or teacher learning to share with HFH for reports

**EDUCATION / SKILLS**
- Recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field or about to complete program from an accredited school or university;
- Strong knowledge in computer systems and IT components (especially in Windows) and/or preferably in Endless OS (Linux);
- Skills in computer lab setup, computer programming and networking, computer repairs and teaching with technology
- Passionate about fostering computer literacy for children
- Be patient and love teaching computer skills to kids
- Able to inspire children to love computers
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good written and reporting skills
- Good communication skills
- Passion and enthusiasm for non-profit work
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and joyful demeanor

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- This is an internship, in-person, National position based in Les Cayes, Haiti.
- This position is NOT accompanied and the organization provides no relocation, logistics or housing packages.
- A monthly stipend will be provided.
