The job
Key responsibilities
- Participate in code reviews with the team;
- Check in source code using version control software;
Ideal experience and skills
- Experience in scripting languages;
- Competency in Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases;
- Business knowledge of Oil and Gas industry;
- Understand the principle of cause-effect relationships in problems;
- Understanding of concepts related to high-redundant and mission-critical system;
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, documentation and communication (in English) skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards;
- Self-motivated for learning and willing to share knowledge;
- Results-oriented;
- Education: Computer Software Diploma with a minimum of 3+ years’ related post-secondary experiences, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably electrical) or Computer Science with 1+ years’ related post-secondary experience.
Great skills to have
- A professional Engineer registered with a Professional Engineering Association;
- 2+ years’ experiences in SCADA.
