Travel Retail Manager Iberia

**Position**:
Reporting to the main Stakeholders of each Brand, the Retail Manager is in charge of maximizing retail sales in the assigned doors from the main airports in Spain and Portugal in order to grow market share, ranking and productivity of each POS in the area.
The Retail Manager manages the salesforce and drives sellout business roadmap to maximize ranking in every point of sale. The role involves both strategic thinking and collaboration with senior Management, as well as retail-focus and operational efficiency.
**Profile**:
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
Retail Sales Development:
- Build with Area Sales Manager the sell-out objectives for the country and per door.
- Develop sales and manage sales performance by point of sale to reach the target, with specific focus on Flagships and Top doors.
- Anticipate and develop action plans to optimize business through consumer insights, BCs shift management, promoters’ investments, incentive schemes and Trade Marketing activations.
- Maximize innovation plans.
- Analysis of KPIs.
- Ensure proper stock at POS with continuous follow up on stock issues.
- Build a close relationship with the P&C and Store Managers (approximately a total of 33 airports between Spain and Portugal).
- Plan & control expense budget on each territory.
Team Management:
- Management of the Beauty consultants’ team (objectives, shift planning schemes. Follow up with HHRR management vs local subsidiary guidelines).
- Motivate BCs to have team spirit and be goal driven.
- Ensure that BCs are properly train on each brand, speech, brand knowledges, key novelties and brand services, supported by the Training Manager.
- Recruit and integrate the best-qualified salesforce.
- Ability to construct positive Company Group synergies between the BCs of the different Brands.
Retail Excellence:
- Be fully responsible for Merchandising Execution, implementation of planograms per door according to the agreed assortments.
- Plan, order and monitor testers, POS materials, instore com and promo visuals per door.
- Enhance Brand Image through visual, merchandising, BC grooming and POS activities.
- Protect brand image within the TR ecosystem, to ensure respect and brands guidelines in every location.
- Report and communicate with HQ on perfect execution.
- Follow-up of competitor’s sales and practices within the market.
Trade Management:
- Look out for opportunities to have extra space, visuals, promotion events etc.
- Manage preparation status and feedback report for each promotion event.
- Prepare and implement the animations in cooperation with the Trade Marketing if any.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Strong business acumen: passion for retail, strong analytical skills.
- Strong management background and skills: ability to motivate people with the same objectives with enthusiasm and leadership.
- High analytical skills: understanding business levers and maximize their impact to gain market share and improve profitability.
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate well with area/country managers and headquarters teams (senior management, marketing, sales support) and with shop salesforce.
- Service-oriented: ability to see every detail and always think about improvements.
- Good negotiation skills: ability to convince peers and a variety of stakeholders.
- Team Player: ability to share best practices and successes and build effective teams.
- Agility skills: ability to adapt and respond effectively to changing needs of the market.
- Ability to travel frequently (75% of working hours).
**EXPERIENCE**
- University Graduate in Business, Marketing, Finance or General Management.
- Experience in sales management with supervision responsibilities. Experience in Marketing or as Business Analyst will also be a plus.
- Interest for the luxury industry and the travel retail business.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese will be a plus.
