Communication and Dissemination Assistant for European Projects

**Fab Lab Barcelona**is part of the **Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC)**, where it supports different educational and research programs related to the multiple scales of the human habitat. It engages in European research across multiple lines of enquiry including design, distributed manufacturing, cities and culture.

The job position of **Communication and Dissemination (C&D) Assistant** requires both a technical and coordination profile that is able to deliver the following main tasks:

- Coordinate and implement all C&D tasks in the framework of EU-funded projects across Project Consortiums
- Organise and execute the C&D activities: project website management, communication material, social media, events organisation as workshops, project meetings, conferences, etc.
- Report of the communication activities to the European Commission and project partners: deliverables, project meetings, annual reports, and alike
- Represent projects at project meetings and international events

**YOU HAVE**:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both oral and writing
- High level writing ability and sound editing skills
- Experience with editorial calendars and social media networks
- Ability to work across multiple projects and topics
- A strong DIY positive attitude
- Practical experience in events planning
- Outstanding collaboration skills and strong teamwork ethics
- Proven experience working in international contexts
- Availability and willingness to travel abroad for international events and project meetings
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Applications, WordPress, Mailchimp, Trello/Toogl, Hootuiste, Canva, social media channels and/or equivalent scheduling/CMS/ publishing tools
- Adobe Suite graphic design skills, photography and video editing skills will be valuable

**YOU ARE**:

- Extremely organised, self-sufficient and reliable
- Highly motivated, proactive and friendly
- Able to work in-person at IAAC (occasionally remotely)
- Interested in technology, digital transformation and innovation
- A person who enjoys working in an international environment

**SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**:

- An EU national, or with a working permit for Spain
- English fluency: mother tongue / equivalent proficiency C2 level
- Spanish is highly recommended / Catalan is a plus / Other languages are a bonus
- Msc Degree in Communication, Marketing, Science Communications
- Knowledge and/or specific interest in the fields of innovation, research and technology
- Availability to travel during the year to different countries
- Experience in European Projects will be valuable

**BENEFITS**:

- Work and service contract
- Full time position: 40h week, from Monday to Friday, based in Barcelona
- Date of start: May 2022
- Salary: 22,000€ per annum

**SELECTION PROCESS**:
