We are seeking a **Data Analyst Trainee** to join our Digital Capabilities team in the Procurement Analytics and Digital Solutions group in Barcelona, Spain.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Serve as a liaison among stakeholders to analyse, document, and validate requirements for reporting and changes to business processes.
- Develop and maintain data products.
- Develop, test, and operationalize new standardized reporting.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards.
- Lead automation of processes and analyses.
- Train other teams in systems, tools, and processes owned by ADS.
- Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to solve business problems through new business intelligence reporting.
- Interface with IT to specify and implement improvements to our data pipelines.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Interest in an analytical or business intelligence role.
- Experience with data visualization and presenting insights to key stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Intermediate SQL skills, or willingness to learn.
- Intermediate DAX skills, or willingness to learn.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience designing and building standard reports and dashboards.
- History of managing and delivering projects, tasks, and initiatives.
- Ability to create, implement, document, and continuously improve processes in a changing environment.
- Training or experience in data science areas such as time series analysis, forecasting, classification, and regression analysis.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Python, R, SPSS, MATLAB, Stata, and SAS.
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise.
- Microsoft PowerBI experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience in the petrochemical industry a plus.
- Enrolled in or recently completed degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering preferred.
