We’re hiring for a Junior Project Accountant as part of Merkle in Barcelona.

**Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting senior project accountants with the day-to-day financial management of projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
- Track and report project expenses, including the preparation of invoices and purchase orders.
- Monitor project financials and provide regular updates to the project management team.
- Ensure that project expenses are within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify and resolve any financial issues.
- Assist in the preparation of project financial reports and presentations.
- Perform other financial tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial analysis.
- Proficient in data analysis, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Experience with project accounting and budgeting is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Key Competences are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability.
- Strong English language skills (written and spoken).
